This week in the world's premier MMA organization a number of future fights have been announced. From Spike Fight Nights to Pay-Per-View Events, the UFC is putting together premier fighters. Let's take a look at what they have on tap...
Cheick Kongo vs Pat Barry
Set for UFC on Versus 4, this heavyweight collision features two of the best strikers in the division. Cheick Kongo will have a height an reach advantage, but the technical edge goes to the shorter, leg kicking king Pat Barry.
Coming off an extremely controversial win, Kongo will be looking to score a convincing victory and find a place in the fans hearts. Known for sneaky hands grabbing anything they can find (including both the cage and his opponents fight gear) Kongo has recently been painted as a dirty fighter.
Barry on the other hand is a fan favorite, from his explosive and precise striking style to his generally positive attitude and underdog story. Barry is coming off a victory over Joey Beltran in a fight that saw both the most disgusting display of laser-like leg kicks and heart.
Neither fighter has a ground game, so, look for Barry's superior striking to make all the difference against the Frenchman.
